The Southern Leyte State University College of Teacher Education (SLSU-CTE) Laboratory High School was founded in June of the SY.1995-1996 authored by the late Dr. Federico R. Flores, the only presidentof Tomas Oppus Normal College (TONC). It was formerly known as TONC-Arts and Science Laboratory High School from June 1995-June 2002. It was renamed TONC-Laboratory High School in June 2002 merge into a University, it was changed into SLSU-Tomas Oppus Laboratory High School from June 2004-July 2016.

It is designed to serve as the perfect avenue where BSED and DBET graduating students can do their student teaching. It’s High calibre, strong faculty with highest educational qualifications vowed and commit to tender quality and excellent academic services to uphold it’s vision of being a High quality corporate Science and technology university.

SLSU Laboratory High School is a private school under the auspices of a reputable university in the Philippines, namely Southern Leyte State University (SLSU). This school is located in Southern Leyte State University College of Teachers Education (SLSU-CTE), namely in San Isidro, Tomas Oppus, Southern Leyte, Philippines. SLSU Laboratory High School is divided into 2 levels of education, namely Junior High School and Senior High School. Junior high school has 4 levels namely grade 7, 8, 9 and 10. Then Senior High School consists of grades 11 and 12. In Senior School, students are divided into 2 majors, namely Natural Sciences and Social Sciences.
